Why is it so important to e-file your 2021 tax return and refund claim before the Nov. 30 deadline, if it can still be paper filed until Apr. 15, 2025?

Processing of refunds for e-filed returns normally take 3-6 weeks. Paper returns, on the other had, can easily take 6-12 months, in the best case. 

That's also assuming that your return won't be misplaced by the IRS or shredded before processing in order to free up backlogs.
